Staff Spotlight
Celebrating the Individuals Who Help Drive Our Success
This month, we highlight the dedication and impact of Robyn McDannold, program manager for Medical Student Research at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. She was recently honored with the Health Care Advancement award at the SCORE Spring Staff Spotlight for her excellence in service.
Other staff nominated Robyn for this award, writing, “Robyn is the most supportive, welcoming employee I have met at the University. She is always quick to strike up a conversation and learn more about the people she is speaking with. She is also ALWAYS there for the students to ensure they have what they need and are taken care of. She also provides lots of information for mentors to ensure they are matched up with the correct students.”
Robyn demonstrates a deep commitment to honoring the unique stories of medical students and their engagement in research and plays a key role in supporting medical students as they develop skills in meaningful research and scholarly projects throughout their medical education. Through her thoughtfulness with each student, trainees receive experience in scientific inquiry and research production, often with a thoughtful lens on a student's background and unique community-focused goals.
Thank you for your work, Robyn!
