In its second year, the event helped many students at the college connect with faculty and explore research opportunities. Intended to further introduce the campus to the newest medical students, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix hosted the Research Mentor Fair for the second consecutive year. The event, required for first-year students, provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to explore medical specialties and connect with mentors in clinical research, bench science, and bioinformatics. By touring classrooms, attendees engaged with researchers in the college’s translational and clinical departments who were ready to answer questions about the critical research opportunities the campus offers. Before they embarked on discovery and networking, a panel of experts discussed their experiences finding mentorship during their time as medical students.
